Post-marketing Pharmacovigilance
OligoFlex has been sold in Eastern Canada for over 4 years (over 120,000 units sold). Patient response has been excellent and anecdotal feedback has confirmed the pre-clinical evidence: patients achieve rapid relief of joint pain and swelling, with few side effects and excellent tolerability. No adverse events have been reported since the product was introduced on the market.⁵

Efficacy

OligoFlex relieves the pain and swelling associated with the inflammatory process by three distinct mechanisms of action at the cellular level⁴. OligoFlex has been shown in vitro to increase the production of IL-10, one of the main anti-inflammatory cytokines. OligoFlex also reduces the over expression of the immune system present in the inflammation process, and OligoFlex blocks pro-inflammation cytokine receptors.

These in vitro results have been further substantiated by in vivo animal studies, confirming OligoFlex’s ability to relieve joint pain and swelling. These mechanisms of action distinguish OligoFlex from glucosamine, the leading joint support product on the market, which has not demonstrated anti-inflammatory effect in vivo.
